APPROACH & MORE ABOUT ME
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience working with children, adults and families, mostly within the child welfare system and hospital setting. It was in these sectors that I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients and patients and respond to their trauma, grief and loss, and physical health and mental health concerns with empathy and direction.
In private practice, I work with adults, teens, children and couples. My specialties include navigating life’s transitions, death and dying, crisis intervention, post-partum motherhood, parenting young and school-aged children, stress management, and the adoption experience. I utilize play and art therapy when working with children.
As an adopted person myself, I understand the complexities of the adoption triad. I am familiar with the adoption process (both public and private) and offer consultation for individuals or couples interested in exploring adoption.
I have a special interest in working with couples who want their love and commitment to each other to translate into a strong and fulfilling partnership. I offer non-secular, pre-marital counseling.
I use a combination of therapeutic approaches to create a warm and safe space where clients can focus on reaching their therapeutic goals, personal growth, and becoming the best version of themselves.
